Who we are

@Cembiorg or The Caribbean Environmental Management Bureau – CEMBI – (trade name and acronym pronounced “sem-BEE”), is an entity for innovating solutions towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We are the arm through which our innovative plans for solutions to environmental problems are initiated, created, developed and aided before being released as products.

Our Objectives

CEMBI aims to help various businesses and communities become more efficient as it relates to resource economics in general (i.e. the supply, demand, and allocation of the Earth’s natural resources) with a focus on the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals listed below. CEMBI produces useful solutions through expertise, research, analysis and creativity; and enhances necessary skills to achieve global goals and thereby increase the marketability of companies and by extension tourism destinations.

Our Team:

Within the CEMBI team, there is sound knowledge in a wide range of natural resource and environmental management issues including coastal and marine resource management, general natural resource management, climate change, pollution control, sustainable tourism, disaster risk reduction and health; complemented by expertise in project management, environmental law, information communications technology (ICT), behavioural change, public awareness, innovation and education. The team comprises independent consultants.

Required skills must be demonstrated by successfully carrying out tasks requested by project managers prior to the start of a project. Also required, is a desire to give back through protecting the environment by volunteering skills and time to green projects.
